Known as one of the founding members of the Football League in 1888 and of the Premier League in 1992, Aston Villa is a club that has been a major part of the shaping of professional football in England. A club with many trophies in their cabinet, they are one of only five English clubs to have won the European Cup. They also have won the Football League First Division and the FA Cup seven times each, the League Cup five times, and the European (UEFA) Super Cup once.
