Student Inquiry Form
Third parties (including, but not limited to, student-athletes) may not use university trademarks (e.g., logos, word marks (including, but not limited to, school name, nicknames, team names, mascot name, slogans, etc.), colors, and other identifying indicia) in connection with consumer products (such as apparel, headwear, and hard goods) unless a license agreement is secured that grants the right to use such intellectual property. The University’s licensing program is managed by Fanatics Licensing Management, who oversees the day-to-day licensing logistics and relationships between the University and companies (licensees) who the University has authorized to use its marks on such products. Potential licensees looking to use the university’s trademarks must first apply and be approved for a license with the university before any production may take place. Please be advised that not all institutions may permit their trademarks to be used in connection with the name, image or likeness of a student-athlete.
If you are a student of the University interested in utilizing university trademarks on products that also contain the name, image or likeness of one or more student-athletes, please review the questions below and provide detailed responses to each. PLEASE NOTE: THE INFORMATION REQUESTED IN THIS INTAKE FORM DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AN OFFER OR SOLICITATION BY THE UNIVERSITY TO OFFER A LICENSE. Once your inquiry has been received and reviewed, a member of the Fanatics Licensing Management team will reach out to you to discuss potential next steps.
In the meantime, should you have questions, you may reach us at licensee@fanatics.com or by phone at 404-996-1966.
